Software distribution
MasterSolution Reflect enables you to create application packages consisting of applications, files, folders and installation parameters, quickly and easily. These packages are then installed in their entirety for selected users.

Two options are available for distribution of application packages:

1. Fully automatic installation in the background
2. Preparation of software packages for the user to call up

You also have an option to plan the distribution of application packages. Date and time can be selected as required. This enables installation outside business hours to be performed, when only a few users are active on the network.

Software store
Any PC can be set up as an "interim store for data". The selected PC assumes responsibility for distribution of application packages for the MasterSolution Reflect server. In this manner, the data is not only made available more quickly and more directly, but the load on the network is also kept at low levels.

Measure & evaluate

Application monitoring
MasterSolution Reflect lists all applications used on every Windows PC. You receive an overview as to when each application was started and ended. In addition, MasterSolution Reflect provides information on the actual activity and usage time.

Where important applications are to be made available for all users or selected users/departments at specific times only, access can be restricted. In this way, MasterSolution Reflect ensures compliance with licence limit conditions.

Control

Alerting
MasterSolution Reflect monitors all network activities and activities at each individual PC. Where changes to collected data or predefined conditions are identified, a real time report in the form of an alarm is produced.

For example, you receive information on:

• Newly connected systems
• Changes to hardware and software
• Exceeding of licence limits
• CPU or network load
• Deactivation of virus protection
• USB activations
• ...

To be able to process the triggered alarms quickly and effectively, you can summarise PC alarms in profiles, and allocate different priorities to the alarms. Unprocessed alarm messages are displayed in the tree structure.

History / sequence
All changes to information collected in terms of hardware and software, user data and alerts are stored in histories. A complete chronological summary of all recorded activities is produced. This enables you to perform evaluations and process optimisation on a regular basis.

Energy monitor
The integrated "energy monitor component" monitors energy usage and helps you to reduce energy costs, thereby protecting the environment. The module provides a summary of operating times and energy usage for individual computers, calculates the average electricity consumption per device and indicates where usage outside of business hours is highest. This supports you in targeted cost reduction.

Administer

User administration
MasterSolution Reflect provides a wide range of functions for finding and administering PCs in a network. Basic user data (name, telephone, configuration etc.) can be captured. All data can be tailored retroactively and extended. In addition, MasterSolution Reflect allows for detailed leasing and maintenance administration for easy monitoring of expiry dates, helping you to avoid unnecessary costs.

Existing PCs can be filtered according to specific criteria using dynamic groups, providing an overview for planning, purchasing or software distribution. Active Directory integration enables MasterSolution Reflect to fit in perfectly with existing structures. Changes are automatically performed. User information can also be called up in Active Directory.

Discovery
All PCs in a LAN or WAN are automatically found based on a defined IP address range or a selected Windows network. You receive immediate first level information on the status of the PCs in question. The Discovery and Deploy tool allows you to distribute and install Reflect clients easily and efficiently.

Hardware inventories
An efficient hardware inventory module provides detailed information on every PC, e.g. CPU type, BIOS, working storage and memory slots. This information can be collated and displayed for the entire company or for individual departments (all PCs grouped according to operating system, size of working storage, …).

Software inventories
MasterSolution Reflect provides you with a detailed list of all installed programs and all recognised applications on individual PCs. Collated data can be displayed for a selected PC, a department or a user-defined group. Using integrated licence management, you can store complete licence information, permitting quick comparison with installed software licences, thereby avoiding violations of licence numbers. You can create tailored application groups to group similar versions of a software package, providing you with an effective report. The file scan option assists you in finding specific files types on the PCs.

Inventories for remote computers
To ensure that accurate information is available for all PCs, MasterSolution Reflect offers tools for manually adding details that are not scanned. This means that additional devices such as routers or remote PCs not connected to the network can also be added to the inventory.

Reports
All collated information is displayed in an easily readable on-screen report with text, bar charts and pie charts. Additional details can be called up on a per department basis. The integrated "Crystal report engine" provides you with a range of pre-prepared management reports, that is, print-optimised reports that can be exported as PDF, DOC or XLS formats, and archived.

Where these reports are insufficient, an option exists for creating individual queries in MasterSolution Reflect. These user-defined queries can be added to the existing components. The results of the queries can be exported and archived in the same manner as the reports.

Gateway

Using the integrated "MasterSolution Reflect Gateway", data from different locations can be collated regardless of the network size (Local Area Network or Wide Area Network).

This allows MasterSolution Reflect to produce cross-regional reports on all changes in the network, and a complete inventory. The product supplies a cross-location overview of all hardware and software components. MasterSolution Reflect offers you an option to administer all software licences centrally, and to install them at different locations as required.
